Turkish Tea Shines on the World Market: Exports Increase by 30%

Turkish tea has made a significant impact on the global market, achieving remarkable success with a 30% increase in tea exports during the January-July period compared to the previous year. Belgium, the United States, and the United Kingdom played a significant role in this achievement.

During the January–July period, 3,576 tons of tea were exported, resulting in a revenue of $17,182,055. It's worth noting that in the same period of the previous year, tea exports brought in $13,170,966. These figures indicate the rapid growth of Turkish tea in the global market.

Belgium stands out as one of the top countries for tea exports, with $6,926,004 worth of tea imported during this period. The United States and the United Kingdom also show great interest in Turkish tea, importing $2,210,244 and $1,930,622 worth of tea, respectively.

In addition to the increase in tea exports, there has also been a diversification of the countries receiving Turkish tea. During this period, Turkish tea was exported to 109 different countries, including Saudi Arabia, Algeria, the Congo, Slovakia, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Poland, Gabon, New Zealand, Portugal, Angola, Togo, and Rwanda.

The growing demand for Turkish tea on a global scale is a testament to its quality and flavor. Turkish agriculture continues to demonstrate its competitiveness on the international stage, and Turkish tea's reputation for excellence continues to spread worldwide.
